When it comes to needing a caffeine fix in the morning, there is definitely not a lack of places in Auburn to get your cup of Joe. I am not all about going to chain stores, such as a Dunkin Donuts, or a Tim Horton’s, I like to start my day with a little love, and that is exactly what you get when you stop in to the Riverbend. You seem to make a connection with the person that is preparing your beverage, a little small talk, and the time put into your drink can help start your day out a little brighter. One of the students had said “It kind of reminds me of the Central Perk, the little coffee shop on the show Friends.” When you go in there are nice couches and chairs so that you can relax and enjoy, whatever it is you decide to order, there is an extensive menu of beverages. Also there are pastries, bagels, and other goodies that you may want to try if you stop in. The shop is also equipped with free WI-FI access for the customers, so that you can jump on your laptop and check your email while sipping on a frozen drink, or cappuccino. Tim Bridenbecker is really excited to open his second shop here in Auburn. The other is located at the Fingerlakes mall, which is a bigger shop, which offers all the drinks and snacks of the smaller one, but also includes gourmet chocolates. The Riverbend Coffee shop is located on the ground floor of Lattimore Hall, right on Genesee Street. There is a second floor entrance into the shop for the students of Lattimore.
